State Multis

Athletes can compete in a State Multi event day which comprises of set events run over 2 days- see Centre Handbook for full details. (U/6 to U8 do not compete in State Multis)

Athletes are awarded points for their performance in each event. At the end of the specified events, the 3 highest point score’s from each age group are awarded medals.

Any athlete in the U9 to U15 age group can compete in the State Multi Event. - you do not have to qualify.
Entry must be done online via the LA Vic website - along with your payment.

 

Region Multis

U9-U15 Athletes can compete in a Region Multi event day which comprises of set events.

U/9 to U/13 Boys age groups compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, Hurdle, Long Jump, Discus and 800m.
U/9 to U/13 Girls age groups compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, Hurdle, Long Jump, SP and 800m.
U/14 Girls age groups compete in 5 events comprising of:- 200m, Hurdle, Long Jump, SP and 800m.
U/15 Girls age groups compete in 5 events comprising of:- 200m, Hurdle, Long Jump, SP and 800m.
U/14B age groups compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, Hurdle, Long Jump, Discus & 800m.
U/15 Boys compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, Hurdle, Long Jump, Discus and 800m.
Athletes are awarded points for their placing in each event, at the end of the day the 3 highest point score’s from each age group are awarded medals.

Athletes competing in Region and State Multis are required to wear a centre uniform, these are available for purchase, Singlets are $30.00.

Region / State Track and Field

Region Track & Field is for the U/9 to U/15 age groups. (U/6 to U/8 do not compete)

Athletes can compete in a maximum of 4 events.

Athletes compete for a spot at State Track & Field to be held at Albert Park in March, should they qualify.

Please note that athletes must meet certain criteria to compete in High Jump & Walks.—these criteria's can be located in the Centre Handbook. Region entries along with your fee must be done online via the LA Vic website.

Athletes competing in Region T & F and State T & F are required to wear a centre uniform, these are available for purchase, Singlets are $30.00

Region / State Relays

For those of you who are new to little athletics, Region Relays are held for U/9 to U/15 athletes. Athletes can compete in a maximum of 3 events.

Selection into a team will be based on times and your attendance at training, however team managers make every effort to give each child a run (numbers permitting). Please remember that this is a team event - the kids really benefit from training together and learning how to pass the baton to their team mates.

Athletes compete for Region medals and hope to qualify for a spot in the State finals on Saturday 12th Dec at Lakeside Stadium. Please also consider this before entering your child. If your child does qualify for State Relays they will be required to continue training and must be available to compete on Saturday 12th December @ Lakeside Stadium.

Athletes competing in Region and State relays are required to wear a centre uniform, these are available for purchase, Singlets are $30.00

Forms along with your fee must be handed in to your registered club. Forms will be available on the Centre Web Site prior to the event.
